Ngāti Toa Sea Scouts
We service the scout group’s trailers to ensure they are safe for travel to events around the country.
WELLfed
WELLfed is an award-winning charity based in East Porirua. It provides free lessons to people in the community on how to plan, shop, safely prepare and cook low-cost healthy meals, with a strong focus on seasonal fresh fruit and vegetables. We are proud to be a Key50 WELLfed sponsor, which provides them with regular income to cover crucial operating costs to ensure their long-term sustainability.
Environmental causes
Guardians of the Pāuatahanui Inlet
We support events run by Guardians of the Pāuatahanui Inlet (GOPI) for restoration of the estuary in our backyard.
We also contribute funding and volunter time to the GOPI pest trapping program.
Zealandia Te Māra a Tāne
We regularly donate to the Zealandia Wildlife Sanctuary to support their work to increase native bird biodiversity in Wellington and provide urban habitat for rare species.
Predator Free Wellington
We regularly donate to Predator Free Wellington to support their work to eliminate pests from Wellington
Long term, this work is expected to provide benefits to Porirua.
Helping You Help Animals
We donate money and time to HUHA to support their work to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home animals and advocate for better animal welfare outcomes.
Our relationship with HUHA
Charlotte volunteered with HUHA weekly for two years. She found it incredibly rewarding to see animals come in needing help, get fixed up and find loving homes. HUHA are always looking for volunteers so please get in touch with them if you are interested. If you are thinking of adopting, please consider HUHA and especially the animals with 'issues' who have been there a long time and REALLY need some love.
